Q 3 According not necessarily to the author, but to those in favour of euthanasia specifically, what is a potentially negative aspect of the use of ―designated killers?

Answer explanation : Where are the downsides of designated killers mentioned? Refer back to ¶s 2 and 4, where the author raises questions about designated killers and the editor of the NEJM raises objections. (A) is the objection raised by the editor: she argues that someday euthanasia will be part of good patient care and that physicians should be in on the action

I couldn’t find out where it is mentioned that NEJM editor is in favour of euthanasia specifically. She just provides the view she doesn’t take any favour/side

Can you please justify why A is correct ?

Q 4

I am not able to correctly understand why B is correct .Can you please tell me what is wrong with E?  The explanation given doesn’t lead me to  the correct anaswer.

Can you please tell me what part of the passage should I look into to solve this question?

You mention that the editor provides a view but does not take any sides. Then whose view is she poviding? These are obviously her own views so she is clearly in favour of euthanasia. In fact she goes to the extent of calling those doctors hypocrites who support euthanasia but are unwilling to perform it themselves.

Question 4 is an assumption question so attempt it like a CR question. Ideally the physician himself should be able to administer euthanasia to the patients so then why do we need designated killers? Only if we assume that it would be very difficult to convince physicians to take up the role and duties of a designated killer (i.e. administer euthanasia themselves). If you deny this assumtion then we don’t need designated killers in the first place. In E, whether the patients’ wishes are being complied with or not has got nothing to do with the requirement of designated killers vis a vis physicians.
